Across my first 23 LinkedIn posts, friction beat textbook advice.
From 22 July to 20 August, the totals were:
315 impressions.
6 new followers.
The opening that received the most reactions was:
‘Gen Z doesn’t want to work anymore.’
57 impressions. 4 reactions.
Both comments appeared under:
‘Buying reach for an interchangeable vacancy is expensive noise.’
The calmly explanatory posts about everyday practice work performed much lower. The roster post received 6 impressions; the post about an 80% workload received 13.
For September, I am dropping the textbook tone. I will show more real vacancy ads and application processes. When something is poorly handled, I will say so.
What should I take apart more often in September: real job ads or comfortable recruitment clichés?
Analysis: Buffer Insights, 22 July to 20 August 2026.
