What your website and Google Business Profile should show together

People searching locally often see a map listing first and then visit the website. Both should show the same name, core details and an understandable picture of the services.

I compare a city map with a location on a smartphone.

1. The real business is the starting point

Google requires a Business Profile to represent the business as it appears in the real world. The name is not a place for extra keywords.

Address or service area, opening hours and phone number must belong to the actual business and stay current.

2. Categories and service pages have different jobs

The profile category describes the core business as specifically as possible. The website can explain individual services in more detail.

The profile stays precise while the website has room for differences, process and common questions.

3. Completeness helps people and Google

Google names complete and correct information as a basis for relevant local searches. Local factors include relevance, distance and prominence.

Website copy cannot change distance, and no specific position can be guaranteed.

4. Consistency becomes ongoing maintenance

When hours, services or contact details change, update the website and profile together.
